My Digital Garden- A Repository For Sensory Thinking

Congratulations, you've stumbled on my digital garden. This is essentially my second brain.

It is my personal knowledge base and a sandbox where I think in public. Ultimately, the ideas here will be formulated into proper pieces of writing on my substack.

This is a place to go down rabbit holes, the way you would on a wikipedia bender. I'm going to do my best to create links between concepts here so you can go deep into the folds of my brain.

Who am I?

My name is Jasmine and I struggle to write bios for myself because I hate to be pinned down. It is easier for me to list a bunch of things I’ve done in my life and let you decide what is interesting about me.

• I’m Zambian-Canadian, born in Zambia and raised in Canada.
• I have appeared in over 40 TV shows and Movies as an actor.
• I run a design agency with my partner. We work with a lot of nonprofits, small businesses and other creatives.
• I hold an Advanced Certificate in Wine (WSET 3)
• I was a teen goth and still have some latent goth tendencies.
• I have certificates in 'chocolate making from bean to bar' and 'chocolate confectionary'. I learned how to make bean to bar chocolate in Ecuador.
• I’ve completed the Perfumery Intensive from The Institute of Art and Olfaction, but ironically I’m not a big wearer of perfume. I’m very interested in the aroma chemicals and the language of perfume.
• I studied Fashion Merchandising and Marketing in college but dropped out to manage a Betsey Johnson boutique.
• I worked in record shops for many years so I can’t watch the Zoë Kravitz version of High Fidelity because I’m scared it will give me PTSD.
